On Skoven EP, we have two well respected producers from the Danish techno scene joining forces. On one hand we have Kvadrant, who is responsible for the legendary Tweak FM radio shows and owner of the Kontakt label, and the other hand we have OHM, an Icelandic-born producer who is already well known for his collaborations with Exos and Octal Industries – and regularly serves behind the decks at the legendary Culture Box in Copenhagen.

‘Rold’ opens the package with hazy atmospheric echoes, cavernous low-end tones and bumpy drums before ‘Grib’ opts for airy vacillating pads and bubbling synth stabs alongside shuffled hats and a thunderous kick drum.

The original mix of ‘Hvidding’ then leads on the B-Side, edging into more stripped-back realms with the focus on choppy kicks, gritty off-beat hats and swirling rides as expansive, delayed stabs unfold throughout. Octal Industries take on ‘Hvidding’ rounds out the release, dubbing out the original elements to create a cinematic soundscape fuelled interpretation.
